Phosphor Bronze Pipes

Phosphor bronze alloys are primarily used for electrical products because they have superb spring qualities, high fatigue resistance, excellent formability, and high corrosion resistance. The addition of tin increases the corrosion resistance and strength of the alloy.

Phosphor bronze is used for springs, bolts and various other items used in situations where resistance to fatigue, wear and chemical corrosion are required (e.g., a ship's propellers in a marine environment). The alloy is also used in some dental bridges.

The addition of tin increases the corrosion resistance and strength of the alloy. The phosphorous increases the wear resistance and stiffness of the alloy. The phosphor bronzes have superb spring qualities, high fatigue resistance, excellent formability and solderability, and high corrosion resistance.

There are many different industrial uses of phosphor bronze, including making springs, making bolts, making propellers for ships... Sequoia Brass & Copper sells alloy 544 phosphor bronze. Phosphor Bronzes, or tin bronzes, are alloys containing copper, tin and phosphorous.

An excellent material for use in the manufacture of bearings, C54400 B-2 Phosphor Bronze is also extremely machinable.
